Homewood Suites Savannah Airport generally receives positive feedback, praised for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and convenient location near the airport and restaurants. However, recent reviews highlight concerns regarding noise levels, housekeeping inconsistencies, and occasional staff responsiveness issues, particularly during emergency situations. Despite these concerns, many guests appreciate the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and included amenities like a full kitchen and complimentary breakfast.
Staff was outstanding, can’t say enough good things about them. The room I stayed in was dated with a crack in the ceiling but overall was decent. Being close to the airport you do hear planes but very close to stores and restaurants
I travel frequently for work and have stayed at many hotels across the country, and Homewood Suites by Hilton has been the most consistently excellent. I especially enjoy staying at this location, which I return to every month. The staff is incredibly friendly, recognizes me as a regular, and always makes my stay feel warm and welcoming. A special shout-out to the housekeeping team for keeping my room spotless every two days. They go above and beyond. This location truly deserves recognition from headquarters for its outstanding service.
The front desk woman was very competent. However, the housekeeping staff kept trying to come in my room despite the do not disturb sign. I’m sure she couldn’t read English.
The property’s location is highly convenient, situated just off the interstate, and the lobby and common areas are aesthetically pleasing and well maintained. However, the condition of the guest room was unacceptable and far below the standards I have come to expect from Hilton. The carpet emitted a strong odor of pet urine, which appeared to have been unsuccessfully masked with a vinegar-based solution. The smell was so pervasive that we felt compelled to keep our shoes on throughout the duration of our stay. After an extended day of travel, we were not in a position to request a room change, but the overall state of the room was deeply disappointing. As a Hilton Gold member, I was particularly disheartened by this experience, as it did not reflect the quality or cleanliness typically associated with the brand.
I can't believe people complain about this hotel. This hotel is very clean, quiet and has friendly staff. I can't find one negative about our two night stay. The breakfast had a nice assortment of foods and fruits. Our room had a full kitchen with a stove, full size refrigerator and dish washer. They even have free Grubhub. We are very happy to have stayed here.
We stayed one night here. The room was “clean-ish”, no bugs, but the floor was filthy, the carpet had several stains, it was fraying, and there was dried red goo in two places. Also the bath towels had long black hairs on them. The tile floor clearly needed a real mopping, too, so we kept our shoes on the whole stay. We had a first-floor room. At midnight a child was screaming bloody murder in the hallway just a few feet from the front desk, outside our room door and it was so loud there’s no way staff weren’t aware, yet nothing was done. At 2 a.m. the people above us seemed to be dragging furniture around, which was annoying but I didn't bother to report since I was still awake from the screaming child. While we didn’t hear interstate traffic, the inside noise was plenty. Service was the biggest letdown. During a citywide boil-water notice in Pooler, the front desk agent, Maryann, never informed guests, brushed off my question via chat, ignored the link I sent her, and never followed up. I ended up calling the Diamond desk myself to get answers. Essentially, the city said there was a boil-water notice, while Maryann said she hadn’t heard anything, and the Embassy next door didn't hear about it either so the Diamond desk concluded “all was fine.” Uh, sure. For one night it was tolerable, but this property isn’t up to Hilton standards. It’s slightly better than the nearby Home2 Suites, but not by much. Sadly, Hilton’s quality seems to be sinking in Pooler, Ga. Edited to update: Since my stay, I have learned that Pooler’s water supply was in fact contaminated with fecal matter — a serious public health issue that made national news. This contamination did affect the hotel’s water supply. The fact that Hilton and this property not only failed to warn guests, but also denied any issue when I specifically asked, is absolutely unacceptable. Guest safety should never be dismissed or ignored, and the mishandling of this situation shows a complete disregard for transparency and responsibility.
We had a nice stay at this hotel! The property was very clean and our room was spacious. The beds were also comfortable. We found the staff to be very helpful and appreciated the quick resolution to an issue that we had. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend this hotel if you are in the area!
The two women at check in were far from helpful! We had booked two rooms and they would not allow the other guest to receive a key card until I arrived, even though she had access via the app. They were condescending and rude. Not once did they apologize once I arrived to the hotel. Half the staff do not speak English. Our rooms were rarely provided with clean towels or was the trash removed! We had to continually remind them of items we needed and had to continually go to the lobby for towels. Ran out of shampoo and conditioner in the shower on day 2 of our week long stay.
Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was great and different than most places. We enjoyed our stay!
First time staying here & very happy. Room was clean & large with a separate living room area. Beds were soft but comfy. Love that the sink is separate from the water closet so someone can brush their teeth while another uses the shower (larger fam problems lol). Room & common areas were clean and tidy. Breakfast was extensive & nicely attended to. Would stay again!
