Room wasn't bad. Hotel staff in general was nice. Had a major problem with service though, likely at the Management or Ownership level. Had to get 2 separate reservations, as I added a night to the stay. Came in on Friday night, and planned stay was through Sunday morning. Checked with the front desk clerk on Saturday morning to ensure all was good and it was verified that all was good, no room change needed, etc. Got a call from the hotel around 10 a.m., while I was in the middle of a golf tournament and spent around 30 minutes trying to work things out, as all was not good. Ended up having to cancel my 'points' room (am a consistent Marriott Customer) and pay almost $200 for my room. Not good, not expected and not what I needed to deal with while trying to enjoy a nice weekend. Could not do this on the phone... had to do this in person back at the hotel, per the Hotel rep. Other things of note: Pool was closed... it is June! The fridge was broken downstairs, so there were no drinks, etc. for purchase and usually, you get a bottled water or something at check in... didn't happen(water truck didn't deliver, I believe the Front Desk staff said?)... no biggie, but just another issue. There appears to be an issue with the floor right outside of the elevator on the 2nd floor. No biggie for me, but someone could trip. Just beneath the carpet. Elevator certification card inside the elevator is expired... may want to check into that, Manager (photo attached). You may have an up to date cert. in the office, but needs to reflect that in the elevator display. Overall, Staff was not bad, but some things need to be tidied up and if your pool is going to be shut down, your rates should reflect that and maybe even an e-mail to Customers scheduled to stay at your place may need to have an e-mail sent to them.

Heavy mold smell in rooms coming from the AC as well as mildew and mold in shower. Front desk staff has no idea how to use the system and it took 30+ minutes to check in. Not worth the stay no matter how cheap the price.

Location was great, right off I 95 with easy access. Our room was OK but hair in the shower. Which may be picky, but on our end gross. We were counting on the 6:30 continental breakfast expecting to leave by 7:00. Breakfast was not ready by 7, coffee at the breakfast was made, but the worst I ever had at a hotel. The front desk person was making the breakfast. There were two other hotels right beside this Fairfield. I will try one of those next time. I also had to call for my receipt, they did not email it to me.

I've stayed in this location twice 8 months apart. Both times I was a Titanium Elite member and neither time was my status acknowledged. Both times each staff I encountered working the desk was rude and unprofessional. The silver lining among the staff is housekeeping. The rooms are very clean, smell great, and the housekeeping staff are very polite and friendly. Unfortunately, this review could apply to most locations I visit. Time to switch hotel chains.

Last minute reservations, stop over on the way to North Carolina. Front desk staff were wonderful. Experience was not worth $180 for one night. Bed needed a new mattress. It was sunken on one side, very uncomfortable. Breakfast was typical interstate hotel food. Very noisy, kids screaming and dogs barking. I know hotel has no control. But allowing dogs in the food area was unacceptable. One dog jumped up on counter by coffee area. My one and only stay here.

Great hotel when traveling down I-95. Modern room with large TVs with built in streaming. Comfortable beds, very good breakfast, and a modern gym. My only complaint is the entrance is very treacherous to locate as roads crisscross and is very confusing when traveling Southbound. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel was clean and convenient to I95; however, the level of noise from 95 was overwhelming. It felt like you were camping under the interstate. They should have insulated the walls on that side a whole lot better. Also, the room just above ours, was walking like a marching band until well after midnight. I would stay here again, but request the top floor and a room on the east side.

Thankfully, we had a place to stay during a long journey from the Mid-Atlantic down to Florida. The first room assigned to us smelled like cigarettes. Thankfully, the kind and patient night auditor Dalton, changed us to a different room with no smell. He was so patient and helpful at our middle of the night check in; I didn't bother him with the issues in our current room. Thankfully , I packed my cleaning supplies for the trip, because I had to clean brown smudge marks all along the side and back of the shower wall. I also cleaned bits of bar soap from the bathroom sink. Thankfully, when I checked out with Allison, she politely listened as I shared the issues we had and she apologized and said she would pass the information on to the manager. When we left, thankfully, we found that Walmart and several places to eat are within 5 miles of this hotel; especially since the GM, Carlos, said he did not have a bottle of water he could give me at checkout as they only have water for guests in the check in gift. Thankfully, we only needed this hotel for a single night and if we stop in the area on our return trip, thankfully there are several other hotels to choose from in the area at the same price point (135$ to 150$ per night).

I stayed at Fairfield Inn on July 12 in Savannah GA and checked out on July 13. I ended up in the ER the afternoon of July 13 with food poisoning. The doctor felt very strongly that it had to come from the breakfast I ate at the hotel. The doctor said it was from food that was not kept at the right temperature or could have been kept out too long. I talked a manager who told me that all of their food was “precooked” and that it was not possible for me to have gotten sick from any of it. From what the doctor said, I feel strongly it was from the oatmeal. I wondered if anyone else had this issue. I spent 4-5 hours in the ER and was miserable and vomiting for hours. The person that had come to clean the room was very kind and sympathetic but management not so much. I’m waiting on more medical bills coming in and I, like the doctor, feel that it had to come from the breakfast bar.
