DO NOT STAY HERE! I booked Cambria through bookings.com for June, 4-June 7, 2026. The full stay was deducted form my bank account prior to check in on June 4 (about $850). Two days into my stay, Donna at the front desk called me on the room to confirm my stay was June 4-June 7 because their system said I only had a room for one night. I said this was a mistake and I have email confirmation that my stay was for 3 nights and the full amount was charged to my card. She said she would settle the discrepancy with booking. Later that afternoon when we arrived back at our hotel room, the key would not work. The front desk clerk, Ankita, said that there was a system error and that we had been checked out after one night and would have to pay $658 for them to open up our door. I showed her confirmation from Booking and from my bank account that I had a reservation for 3 nights and that the ?$850 had been processed and deducted. She said she understood but we would have to pay again. She reiterated that she would not allow us to retrieve our items including my car keys and my medical equipment until we paid again. After a heated discussion I was about to call the authorities when my travel partner agreed to just pay the additional $658 again while we sorted it out later. Ankita claimed there was no manager onsite for us to contact and that Donna was not available to speak to. I apologized to the line of people behind me for holding up the line and the person directly behind us said that they had messed up their stay as well and that’s why they were down there. Bookings.com confirmed that the hotel staff said this happened to several guests and they were all forced to pay again to continue their stay / have their rooms opened. We are our $1502 for an $844 stay. I truly regret that we paid again and I wished I had just contacted the authorities to see if they would let us retrieve our items. I don’t see how it is legal for a hotel to be able to hold your belongings including medical supplies and car keys hostage. If my friend did not have the extra money, I would’ve had to do this. I have contacted the BBB, Bookings, and Choice Hotels corporate to seek a resolution. On top of this, the room was never cleaned and we never received towels.
We were charged twice and locked out of our rooms due to an administrative error. We had a booking for 3 days. The hotel housekeeping staff came into our room on the second day unannounced while we were sleeping. This prompted a call from the front desk who said we only had a reservation for one day. The front desk worker assured us the reservation had been changed and resolved. We came back from the beach to see we’d been locked out of our rooms. They said they’d refunded the initial stay because they had to redo a new reservation due to THEIR ERROR. We were NOT refunded. I just had to pull hundreds of dollars out of my emergency savings to cover our rooms. They wouldn’t even let us go back to the room to get our things to go somewhere else. My medication, car keys, etc were all in the rooms. We were forced to pay to get back into the room. We lost our reservation for a tour in the process and are out the price for tickets for that. I will not be back. I have never experienced something so ridiculous at a hotel.
Two friends and I stayed here for a last minute trip Feb 13-15. The price was tripled because of Valentine's Day and we ended up in a handicapped room, which was roomy and nice. However, the second night the ceiling started leaking directly over the toilet. We were told there was no other room available and there was nothing they could do. When I asked the manager if they could put plastic up on the ceiling, he laughed at me and said "it's just water." No one knew that for sure, and for $400+ a night I don't want *any* liquid dripping on me. They also claimed we parked one of our cars with their valet the second night - we did not, and because we didn't have a way to prove we parked elsewhere (we threw away our parking tickets, never dreaming we'd need them) they would not remove the $39 charge. Haven't been so disappointed in a hotel in ages. Will never stay there again. In fairness - they did comp about $100 off our room for the leak. But the condescending attitude and the valet scam made a lasting impression.
I chose this place for my (large) family. I reserved 2 rooms for a Friday and a third room for Saturday to accommodate extended family. I purchased the breakfast package on each of these rooms through this reservation (Choice Hotels) because this place does not offer complimentary breakfast. The advertisement says: breakfast package includes 2 adults and 2 children per room. I paid for the breakfast package both days and I was given meal tickets for 1 day, (not the second day that I also paid for.) When I asked the front desk about the second day, I was told that it was standard for it to be one meal (as I was checking extended family into the 3rd room) the individual added a single person to the 3rd room breakfast ticket. Over three rooms we were a total party of 8. 4 adults and 4 children (teenagers). Upon check in, I was met with 100$ per room incidental charges in addition to the 400$ per night per room charge. A grand total of 1500$ for a 2 night stay. The rooms: while overall it's generally a nice place to stay, the closet door was blocking the ability to use the drawers under the small counter (coffee pot). We did also experience a bug in the shower. Parking: having been to Savannahs historic district more than once, I knew that parking would be an issue and we were prepared to walk the weekend. This place does offer valet parking for 39$ per day. I opted for this because I failed to realize that there was a parking garage across the road on liberty. I take responsibility for not researching the area a little more in depth prior to our arrival. The parking garage on liberty is 20$ a day, and that is exactly where valets' park your vehicles. The hotel is close to many attractions and within walking distance of most of the historic districts various attractions. I do not have to express my disappointment in this trip that was meant to celebrate my children. (Specifically birthdays.) This hotel was not my first choice of places to stay, as so many other places have far better amenities for the money. As a member of choice hotels I simply expected better.
I needed a vegan option for breakfast. I always can find oatmeal at hotels but for the first time ever, I couldn’t eat their’s because they put milk in while cooking. Since I couldn’t eat anything else on the small menu, I stood up to leave. My very helpful server Engelburt, offered to have a batch of plain oatmeal cooked up. He was very friendly and attentive during the whole meal. It was already late morning so that saved us from searching for another restaurant.
Great location from everything in Savannah. The rooms were clean and linens were comfortable! Though there was no parking lot/garage owned by the hotel, the parking garage was right next door and has security there 24/7 which helps make it feel a bit safer
Great service! Great personalities from the front desk to the bar! Alana was amazing! She recommended so many amazing places for us to sight see. Make sure you get one of her famous Margaritas! Shout out to the Valet service as well
Everyone was very helpful and friendly. No issues. Clean hotel, room and bathroom. Ricky Ricardo was super helpful, and everything is walking distance. It's not in the middle of the tourist area which is great very peaceful. The trolley is right around the corner great tour. You can park across the street. 2 days for 20.00. Great time!
Room was clean & comfortable. Shower didn’t have much water pressure so that was disappointing. Service was excellent, Ricardo and his son both work in the lobby and they went above and beyond to be helpful in giving directions and restaurant suggestions. They also just were so kind and had great customer service. Definitely belong in the hospitality business. They deserve a raise
We visited this hotel during our stay for 2 nights from Nov 17th to Nov 19th. The location of this hotel is great as so many amazing places of savannah are walkable distance. As soon as we entered the check in process was quick and Diya greeted and welcomed us. The rooms were nice and cozy. The only downfall was I wish they had lot more options for breakfast. Overall I recommend this place !!!
