The Iris Garden Inn consistently receives negative reviews citing severe cleanliness issues, including rodent infestations, mold, and dirty linens. Guests report unresponsive and unhelpful staff, outdated facilities, and significant operational problems, such as elevator maintenance and shuttle service disruptions. The property's location, while convenient, is overshadowed by the overall poor experience.

No insulation I’ve had no sleep all night because of the loud mouth in the next room. There is some beeping noise that is also disruptive. It has been a horrible night trying to sleep. I’ve documented anything peculiar for a follow up

Only stay here if you enjoy wildlife in your room. There were mice in the rooms. Our beds were covered in rodent feces. No refund offered. Only, “sorry about that”.

We stayed here for one night while passing through Savannah. When we turned down the the sheets we found mouse poop. When I notified the front desk, she seemed unbothered. She finally offered another room. Our travel mates had the same problem and actually heard and saw the mouse in their room. There was also smell through in the whole hotel, especially on the third floor. It smelt like someone was cooking with curry.

When we checked in they gave us a handicapped room despite us not reserving a handicap room. We asked to have a regular room and the black female receptionist said that because we booked through Expedia that Expedia gave us a handicap room. Next, our towels were very dirty with black stains on them. The breakfast was horrible and tasted as if they we from the previous morning and just reheated for the next day. The walls a very thin and you can hear people beside you in other rooms. Someone had a dog four rooms down and you could hear the dog barking. You could also hear the person above you talking. The bathroom door would not close so that you can lock it. Someone else’s belongings were in the drawers from the previous stay. Overall, the location is not in the safest place and appears to be in a deserted area in the projects. I would not recommend this property until they are at least able to clean the towels, clean the rooms, serve fresher food to serve for breakfast, and at least fix the bathroom doors.

Now I was looking for a decent room for one night I saw a deal for 100 with tax it went to 117. When I got there they had a 50 deposit that they will give back later if there’s no damage and no smoking. Y’all these rooms were so dirty. Oily floor which I’m confused cause they weren’t even clean. I walked in the room a wave of cigarettes hit me. The walls were so dirty the room was muggy. I didn’t get my 50 dollars back yet. But I made sure I took pictures of everything the first day cause I will not be charged for stuff that’s already messed up. Free breakfast was alright can’t complain much. The picture they have of the pool I think is from next door I think they use to be in the other building but moved to this one because I didn’t not see a pool and they didn’t mention having one. But caution about staying unless it’s like one night.

Paid a little extra for this hotel thinking it would be a little nicer and keep the bs out ... Was I wrong, this place is a dump. Our key card never worked, they lock the outside door at 5pm, holes in the wall and paint missing, other people's hair all over the place, people above us having a party at 2am. Overall, id rather just save the money and stay at the cheap hotel. I'm truly shocked with how many good reviews this place has. Even the food score is low, I've never eaten at a place that made a C score...

Room was very basic, not a great location to downtown Savannah, and the the service was horrible. The front desk woman cared more about what was in her ipods than being helpful. Although the TV was new, it was in store demo mode and I told the front desk woman that and she told me to point the remote at the box...not helpful. Later when I asked for help again, told me she wished I would have said something since the maintenance worker just left. Mold on the the shower as well.

We made a last-minute decision to go to Savannah for St. Patrick’s Day. Most the hotels were booked. We found iris Garden Inn online it looked OK. Comments said recently remodeled and Price was decent. When we arrived, The front desk staff left a lot to be desired as far as attitude and customer service! The lobby looked nice very small however nice. We get in the elevator to go to our room, the elevator inspection expired in 2024. Which I believe is a safety hazard. We get off the elevator on the second floor and the hallway is very smelly, a moldy dirty smell. Not to mention some of the lights were out! We go to our room, which was just not at all like the photos. Before I list all that was wrong with the room, let me say the beds were comfortable and clean. The shower was hot and had good pressure! That’s about all the positive.. There was mold growing on the blinds which were broken by the way. The window seal looked like it had not been cleaned ever. There were stains all over the corners of the boxsprings of both beds. There was no plug in the bathroom sink. And there was mold growing on the bathroom sink as well as growing in the shower. The toilet paper holder was upside down which allowed the tissue to fall on the floor constantly. When we went to speak to the front staff about the shuttle service, she was very rude and said read the sign. Well that day we did take the shuttle service out the bus driver gets five stars that’s the only thing at this hotel that I would get five stars. The bus driver told us he would be going out Monday morning for Saint Patrick’s day at 8 AM. Sunday night we went to sign up for the shuttle service at 8 AM the gentleman behind the counter said there is no 8 AM tomorrow. We explained what the bus driver had told us. Instead of speaking he just grabs the schedule and starts pointing at the it And then politely walked away. We showed up in the lobby at 7:45 on Monday morning, and guess what the bus driver was there ready to go. The bus driver as I said was the only thing at this hotel that gets five stars! He was fabulous, a friendly personal and definitely the best asset that this hotel has. He deserves a raise from my understanding he is the maintenance man as well as a shuttle driver. They had more of him the place would be a lot better.! Spend the extra money and stay someplace else!

We stayed at the Iris Garden Inn for one night and it was disappointing. We've stayed in quite a few budget hotels and we've mostly been happy but not at this one. The room was stinking of smoke when we entered and the smell lingered throughout our visit. The lady at the counter was very disinterested and did not help us in answering our questions. The breakfast was good but had very limited options. Parking outside was good and there was lots of space. It is at a short driving distance from downtown Savannah.

I recently stayed at Iris Garden Inn over the weekend. I was a little hesitant on booking due to the reviews. However, my husband and I had an exceptional experience. The staff was kind and went out of their way to get me an item that I needed for my room, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was basic but the mini waffles were amazing. However, the elevator hasn’t been serviced in 2 years. The walls are thin but not disturbing. The location was quite literally perfect for a Savannah trip!
