This property presents a stark contrast between enthusiastic, accommodating staff and maintenance issues. While many guests praised specific team members for going above and beyond, notable complaints include severe hygiene issues, poor maintenance (e.g., broken AC, plumbing problems), and a struggle to accommodate reservations or non-smokers.
Based off of service alone: the girl at the front desk with the amazing bubbly personality… needs a raise. She is WONDERFUL. Every other part of this place was not so good. Our room smelled…so…bad. It smelled like someone with a stage 4 foot disease walked around it for months. The bathroom smelled like sewage and mold. There was mold on the bathroom curtain. There was a dead cockroach upside down on the floor. The smell alone made us go out buy Lysol. The first day we got our room cleaned. The second day we came back and had no new towels and our trashes hadn’t been emptied. Someone called out. I 100% get it. Except we’re paying $200 a night for basic hotel requirements, so that’s 100% not my problem. Again; front desk girl? A light to the world and a joy in every sense. She did everything she could to accommodate us. Lovely human. Don’t stay here.
This was an amazing hotel to stay at when visiting Savannah. Super clean, great staff, and comfortable rooms! Parking is very convenient. I 100% recommend this hotel to stay when visiting Savannah. Downtown Savannah is only minutes away.
Stayed here in January with my husband I've been meaning to write my review. But I just have to say everyone was so sweet and nice Ortezja was amazing I've never anyone nicer... Just very accommodating and made the visit feel like home 10 stars just for having her!!!
I had a 1-night stay during a trip down south and the hotel was clean, staff was helpful and breakfast was what you would expect from a Choice property. Very satisfied with the hotel and would definitely recommend it if you are in need of room for the night.
We’ve stayed here several times, for the most part it’s a decent hotel and experience, nothing spectacular but okay. It seems that ladies at the front desk are not interested in helping the guests. One worker was on her phone during every interaction with her and it seemed as if we were causing a problem with our mere presence. It was clear we were interrupting her phone time although we were paying to stay there. We had an issue with the bathroom and was told there was no one there to handle it and we were given a plunger to fix the issue rather than be offered another room. When we requested another room it was clear this was never thought of as a solution, they did get us another room. If you have a choice please choose another hotel. If you don’t have a choice, I pray your experience is better than ours.
Real person here ... I've stayed at this hotel in 2024 and 2025, and both times my expectations were exceeded. Most recently, the room was absolutely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Everything in the room worked. No complaints. Breakfast was somewhat limited on new year's day, but otherwise pretty good. I'll stay again next time I'm in Savannah. Other reviews might say the local area is "sketchy"; I didn't see anything to be concerned about, but take normal precautions for personal safety.
This Midtown location has me totally disgusted at how they handled my reservation. I made reservations on October 30th for a slumber party for my daughter's birthday through Booking.com. I came a day before my card was to be charged to view the location, verify the 2 rooms I booked were connecting and see how I needed to decorate the room prior to the upcoming event that Friday. The staff informed me that I was not booked and upon review the hotel claimed they do not book to locals and do not do parties. The manager kept insisting they do not book to local residents and that I could not have my daughter's slumber party there, even though out of her own mouth stated they have a large group of soccer players staying at there Midtown location and don't have any rooms. They never notified me of a cancelation even though they stated they canceled my reservation on Nov 2nd after allowing me to book 2 rooms on the 30th of October. She could careless that I had 7 young ladies all ready, confirmed and ready to come that Friday to be dropped off by their parents. I never heard nor saw anything that states that a hotel not booking local residents of a city. No efforts were made to try to correct clearly a mishap on their end and I'm quite sure they took my rooms to accommodate a larger party "the soccer team" which by the way is no different than 7 girls being booked for a party. A soccer team would be enjoying the facility just as the girls would, but I'm quite certain would be much louder since they would have a larger group. The only thing they were good for and not even the manager, but a staff directed me to a different location for Country Inn & Suites "Southside" location which above and beyond my expectations. Whatever you do book Southside location and NOT MIDTOWN!!!!
Upon checking in things went smoothly as we booked everything from Hotels.com The parking at the time was nearly empty as most people were heading to work. The room was super clean and the same can be said of the bathroom. No bedbugs nor creepy crawling creatures to be found. Breakfast was subpar. It had the normal staples like waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, etc. No issues at all. Now, comes the questionable issues. We (family of 4) have booked for 3 days. After the first night my 9 year old had a nose bleed during the night that we discovered that morning. So we took off the pillow cover and sheets so they would exchange them but they never did come and the same for the exchange of towels since we all showered. The bathtub drain was extremely slow thus leaving leftover dirty water. (Which we wiped down with towels after we dried ourselves) Even as of this review we had to go down and ask for room service for the room and the pillow sheets to be change but why not the bedsheets? We were in room 309 and the traffic (of people) checking in/out or getting ice from the machine was a bit annoying. So if you’re a light sleeper try to get a room at the end of the hall. The pool is small and the same for the training room. UNFORTUNATELY, as I enter the room one morning, I did notice a medium sized roach. :( but that was it. Across the way from the hotel is a military air base. So there are constant helicopters flying overhead. This is a fair hotel. I hope that the service will improve as it was not the best. It is nice.
Clean lobby and rooms. Breakfast was a good snack. The customer service was good. The location is perfect for shopping and eating. I walked to Dollar tree, Starbucks and Longhorns while my roommate rested. I paid with delta sky miles and it was worth the price.
Clean, quiet and safe. Good, free parking. Excellent snd very professional evening desk clerk - she was able to quiet a rowdy party in the room beside us with only two phone calls. The hot breakfast was good and the kitchen lady provided friendly, cheerful and helpful service. We will stay here again.
