The Bluff Hotel Historic Savannah receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising its location, cleanliness, and friendly staff, particularly mentioning the shuttle service and breakfast. However, recent reviews highlight significant issues with unprofessional staff behavior, particularly at the front desk, and persistent issues with inaccurate billing and unresponsive management. Concerns regarding outdated facilities and a decline in service quality are also evident.

The hotel is located in a rather strange area, and it feels a little uncomfortable, especially at night. Unfortunately, the service was also very disappointing. When we walked in to check in, the receptionist was talking on her personal phone and took about 40 seconds to even acknowledge us. For a Hilton property, I found this extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately, she was not the only employee behaving this way. Several employees seemed very comfortable using their personal phones, talking on Bluetooth devices, and carrying on conversations in guest areas as if they were at home. When guests approached them with questions, they often appeared annoyed that we were interrupting their personal conversations. We spoke with other guests during our stay, and they shared similar concerns, especially regarding the front desk staff. This makes me believe we were not the only guests who noticed this behavior. Overall, the staff clearly needs more training in professionalism and guest service. Guests are paying good money to stay at a Hilton and should feel welcomed, respected, and valued—not like an inconvenience. My husband’s company regularly uses this hotel for business travel, but after this experience, we will definitely let them know that this level of service is not acceptable to us. We have no plans to stay here again. Management should take a closer look at what is happening in the guest areas and review the cameras if necessary. I think they may be surprised by how casually some employees are behaving in front of paying guests. Very disappointing experience.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend and was pleasantly surprised. Overall hotel was very clean, staff was incredibly nice to us the thought out stay and we experienced none of the hiccups listed in other reviews. Location + Shuttle means that you are able to get to most of the bigger areas you’d want to walk and shop at etc. Will (shuttle driver/bartender) was incredibly kind and offered incredible service. Along with Megan and the rest of the staff. Overall would stay here again for another weekend getaway.

The hotel itself is beautiful and calming. I loved the rooms, the curtains, the bed, the lightening, the spaciousness, and it was quiet. The real stand out was the staff. Every staff member was real, nice, gracious and accommodating from the servers, to housekeeping and especially the front desk. Ebony thank you!

Clean and fresh room. Looks pretty modern. Didn’t know when booking that they have a free shuttle where they can drop you off and pick you up so took advantage of that. Was really helpful in the heat and to avoid parking.

We had a fantastic experience on our one night stay. The hotel was beautiful and in a great location close to everything in the historic district. The front desk receptionist Ebony went above and beyond to help us navigate our stay. The free shuttle and driver were so much fun. We’ll be back!

We enjoy our stay! The young lady that helped us was so sweet but didn’t get her name as we came in late and were exhausted. Bed & pillows super comfy!! The hotel was very clean and offered great options for food. Also we loved the location as it was in walking distance to many eateries as well. Definitely would go back!

This hotel exceeded our expectations - everything was very clean, the staff was friendly, no complaints from me or my friends on anything really. We are pretty active so we considered it a short walk from the River Street businesses and also City Market. We used the free shuttle a few times to get to dinner and the lobby concierge helped us figure out our walking route one day. We did not use the breakfast services or the bar at all, but the coffee they had in the room was good and we appreciated the ice water available in the lobby. For being close to the same price as the Best Western a few blocks away, this place was WAY nicer.

Check your invoice for unauthorized charges. We've stayed here several times. The rooms are clean but average. The location is good. Walkable to many places. The service has steadily declined over the years that we've come and stayed. In particular, the reception acts visibly annoyed when you want to check in or out or have even a basic question. Most recently, our flights were changed delaying our stay by a night. They refused to accommodate the change. Fine. What's not fine is that we received an invoice the next day with charges for meals, tips, and parking when we hadn't even stayed there. We tried to call directly 5 times. The phone would ring and ring until someone picked up the receiver and immediately slammed it down. We finally got through by calling the Hilton main call center. They reversed the fraudulent charges. When I asked how they got there in the first place, the lady immediately slammed the phone down on me. The place is average. It's clean and the location is good. The staff is generally unfriendly. Check your bill closely and plan to waste a lot of time trying to get it fixed if its wrong. One more thing....they charge you for every cup of their weak coffee. If you stay here, there's way better coffee a short walk down the street at Foxtail Coffee - Riverside Savannah.

Nice little hotel with spacious and comfortable rooms that felt luxurious. The breakfast was not included but it wasn’t too expensive. Gracia the lady that made breakfast was super nice and made delicious omelettes, and we also loved the attentiveness of the gentleman that served the food.

Stay was good. Beds were extremely uncomfortable, my back was in a lot of pain and I kept waking up in the middle of the night due to how thin the walls were. You can hear everything outside. Otherwise staff was friendly and shuttle was good. They charge $25 a night for parking.
