The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa consistently receives positive feedback regarding its location, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, particularly highlighting exceptional service from individuals like Dayna and Mateo. While frequently praised for its scenic views and convenient access to the convention center via the free ferry, recent reviews raise concerns about inconsistent room cleanliness, outdated amenities, and surprisingly high bar prices.
Wonderful time at the Westin Savannah harbor golf course . All the staff here has been amazing but the main lobby bar bartenders, Mateo, Abba, and Bobbie have been extra special. Mateo remembered My name and room number from night to night. All the service was excellent. And a big shout out to Isabella and Michelle at the front desk , for making my experience here so enjoyable. Thanks All!
Very nice. The restaurant has a great buffet breakfast at a reasonable price. Don't eat at the Starbucks in the lobby, they just nuke the breakfast sandwiches for far too long, burning the cheese. See photo. There is a free ferry to take you across the river, but you have to be on their schedule. It runs every half hour. But, its a nice smooth ride and fairly quick. The only other way to get across the river is to drive, but it is out of the way.
My stay at the Western Savannah Harbor golf resort and spa was exceptional. Miss Dayna took great care of me. They had warm cookies. My room was clean. The food was great 10 out of 10 experience would definitely recommend. Please be sure to tell my girl Dayna I said hello she is the best!
We had a wonderful stay with our dog! The hotel was extremely accommodating, especially when we needed to add an extra night — the process was easy and stress-free. The property is beautiful, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the staff was genuinely kind and welcoming. It made traveling with a pup feel effortless. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
With any hotel, I believe a good stay is 75% the hotel and the other 25% is what you make of it. A lot of negative one star reviews here are so stupid. “My room only had decaf coffee” “There were too many people here enjoying themselves so it was loud” “The elevator doesn’t get me down to the coffee shop fast enough” “The parking is expensive” like, read about the property before you book because it’s all in there for you to review and decide if you wanna stay or not. It’s an old property but it’s still a Westin. The bed is still a Heavenly bed, the sheets are still silky soft, the pillows are on point, the white tea amenities still smell like white tea! It’s a place that feels like home and the staff throughout are amazing.
A TRUE CLASSIC FULL SERVICE HOTEL EXPERIENCE. I was greeted by the valet Jason. He took my cart for me and walked me to my room then he parked my truck. Dequane at the front desk was knowledgeable about all of the activities in the Westin Westin as well establishment! Elique another fulls service valet worker was excellent as a full service valet. I LOVE THIS PLACE WE WILL BE BACK! OH AND THE BARTENDERS WERE OVER THE TOP
The room and view is nice and there beds are comfy but I have a major complaint about room amenities. They offer one robe for a double occupancy room. What are we to do share it? Better to not offer it at all! You also get 1 bottle of water and they only give decaf coffee. We even requested regular coffee from the maid but was only given decaf. I don't usually complain but this is a nice place, they should offer better!
The staff was super nice and friendly. Our favorite people were Patrice who was our amazing waitress at the hotel restaurant on the 2nd floor. She was so fun and kind! She treated us like family. We were greeted by Shania who was also super sweet. We also really enjoyed Courney who was my waitress today (our last day). She too was extremely nice. Could not have received better service! There was also Eliek who grabbed our belongings and brought them down stairs for us. Our valet on the first day was probably our favorite of the whole trip, but i could not get his name. We stayed in room 729. Not sure if that helps to narrow down who, but he was also incredible! He set the tone for the remainder of our trip because the service/experience only got better from there! All in all, the service and the food is a 10/10! Would 100% recommend.
Spent two nights with two connecting rooms. Room cleanliness was seriously deficient. To start, one of the rooms was very warm and smelled musty/moldy while the one next to it didn’t. We turned down the ac but the smell did not go away. There were brown stains all over the rug in the seating area in one room, brown stains on the bed skirt in the other and brown splatters all over the door connecting the two rooms. Each of the three beds also had stains on the white sheets. A big chunk of the dresser was broken off and sitting under the furniture Brought to the attention of the front desk and they were apologetic, but we were checking out the next morning. Also informed front desk again at check out and they too were apologetic. Last question they asked me was if I valeted a car. I kind of assumed that this was because they would at a minimum credit the $45 per night valet fee to compensate for the room condition, but they did not Adding a star for amenities like the ferry and activities in the lobby, but the room cleanliness would lead me to not stay here again
We stayed at The Westin in Savannah, Georgia during our family trip, and it was perfect for families with young children. We took the ferry to explore downtown Savannah and had a great meal. The hotel had a spa and a swimming pool, which the kids really enjoyed. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly, and the river view from the hotel—both during the day and at night—was absolutely beautiful.
