The Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District receives generally positive reviews, primarily due to its excellent location within walking distance of attractions and restaurants. Guests appreciate the comfortable rooms, friendly service, and convenient valet parking option. However, concerns regarding parking fees, potential cleanliness issues, and inconsistent service experiences have been raised.
Business travel. Newly built. Everything you’d expect from a Hilton Garden Inn. I had a corner suite, which was clean and comfortable. No wow factor. Parking in the area is difficult. But for a hefty charge the offered valet with in/out privileges. The valet staff was fast, friendly, and efficient. The best quality of the hotel was its location. Quick drive to the Convention Center, but most importantly it was in walking distance to great restaurants and bars. A very lively area.
My family loves this hotel!! Excellent location, always clean and smells amazing. The customer service is out of this world, from valet to front desk- Kabrea is our favorite!! She knows our names and is just a joy to talk to. She goes out of her way to make sure we are taken care of. The blonde girl in valet is also amazing- don't know her name, but she is always happy and rushes to get our car. This is the only hotel we will stay at. 100% RECOMMEND
Beware slow and fraudulent valet parking. 2 Night stay, posted parking rate is $48/day. I was in a 3pm and out at 10:30am so less than 48 hours. Credit card was charged $141. There is no contact for the parking company. Website has a chat bot and email for a mischarge. Both have gone unanswered for over a week. Front desk is also understaffed. Attempted 3 times to get a physical key. Two times there were zero staff members at the desk 3rd time there were 4 people in line waiting for one associate. Rooms a decent sized but there are other hotels with essentially same location for same price point.
This hotel had the Best reviews for the price we were looking for. And, after we arrived, it was truly the best choice that we could have made. Upon our arrival, Latasha was perfectly on point and helped us immediately. They have a cornucopia of products to purchase in the lobby, a selection that is enormous. Fresh, free hot coffee and tea await you 24/7, right on the way to the elevator. We stayed on the 6th floor and had a balcony also. The shower was clean and the water pressure was wonderful. The beds were very nice and comfortable. The location is so centered and convenient to everything. The valet was very efficient and helpful with guidance.
Avoid this Hotel.. they're scamming people out of a $500 smoke cleaning fee with no evidence of the accusation. My boyfriend and I spent the past weekend. I dont smoke, my boyfriend does. He or myself never smoked in the room and can be seen leaving the hotel multiple times a day throughout out stay to leave and for him to smoke while we walk the town. He doesn't smoke in our home nor would never inside anywhere for that matter. When asked for investigation and the evidence they suppose have, they declined with... the charge will stay. So if you are a smoker I'd definitely not lodge here. You may not smoke in the room but you may smell like smoke and be charged ridiculously without authorization. The room was 211 facing the liquor store, right below the oniong of the roof with cigarettes butts and lighters from previous years on the roof with the windows screwed shut. The room itself hadnt the best of smell considering the building being old and room obviously had been smoked in. This is a pure example of stereotyping and discrimination. I will be hiring an attorney for defamation and discrimination if my charges are not disputed. I did research also and discovered many hotels are doing this. There has to be a better procedure and policy to determine smoking in these hotel rooms. Update... Charging someone for "potential violation" as you stated is criminal and fraud. A potential violation should be investigated and reported. Also the accused should have the right to appeal. When I first called I was it was a different room number, could it have even been a mistake. I'd like to see the papers I signed allowing you to have access "deposit" to such. I was told it was $50 a night and never put a card on file until I left... and had to pay $43.52 for breakfast before I checked out. So it was also an unauthorized charge. I never signed such. If I had through booking when booked the room and paid, the charge should've been on that credit card that paid for that.
I’m super picky when it comes to hotels yet Hilton Garden Inn surpassed all my expectations. I liked that the lobby was very nicely decorated and clean. If you’re also picky about hotel rooms and their showers and beds, I highly recommend this hotel. The bed was super comfy, the sheets were crispy white, no hairs, no stains, no weird smells. The shower and toilet were super clean too!The cleaning staff, valet staff, and the front desk ladies were all very friendly and helpful. I also recommend using their valet services instead of parking elsewhere. The prices are very similar anyway so you might as well pay for your car to be ready for you every day. 5/5 stars, I can’t wait to use them again! Happy new years!
I absolutely loved this hotel and I’m about as picky as they come. The valet team and hotel staff were among the best in the industry that I’ve experienced. The grounds and hotel are stunning and very “Savannah”. Cool vibes all throughout the hotel from the entrance to the lobby and seating area. The bar and coffee station, snack shop….all so cool and the snack shop sells some amazing local business stuff! My king balcony room was very spacious and comfortably set up. The bed was comfortable and the pillows, well those suck like most hotels. The water pressure in the shower was super amazing which makes for a refreshing shower experience. The work station, desk, lighting and chair were all proper and gave a comfortable work area. ** The hotel itself is not in the most desirable area however I’m not basing my rating off of that, my rating is solely based on the property itself and the staff.
Gorgeous entirely renovated hotel. Guest main areas and rooms are fantastic. Amazing breakfast buffet ($18) but there's really no other options around at 7am. Extra security in elevators with only those with key cards able to access the floors. I used their handy electronic key card on my phone and that worked great! Excellent service. Vallet is $48, but it's $45 to park overnight in the public lot behind the hotel. So might as well do vallet where your car might be safer. Great service. Friendly and professional.
Location is wonderful you can walk anywhere. Let me just say you pretty much have to valet your car and its $50 a day. Valet staff was the best part of our experience they were great!!!! Rooms are small but clean.
Perfect location! Everything is walkable! Within a mile radius to literally everything. Only complaint, we requested new washcloths in the evening and never received them. Staff was accommodating and friendly. Room was clean and just what we needed for our stay. Would recommend.
